Westcroft Park Polo Club the place to learn to play polo, with a strong focus on the development of grass roots polo.
Currently teaching 10 schools throughout the year we run our own after school polo and holiday clubs for young players and newcomers, who are beginning to rise through the polo ranks at a remarkable pace. Increasing the participation of youth in polo we run regular schools matches and university polo. If you’re school or university would like to offer polo to your pupils and student, please get in touch [email protected]
Our term-time after school polo club runs on Wednesday afternoons 4.30pm-5.30pm (1hr) and 5.50-6.15pm (30 mins). We teach children from the age of 4 upwards. All children are required to wear a skull cap and riding roots available on line here. Back protectors are optional but are also available from our online shop.
Our term-time polo club and our school holiday polo camps are an amazing opportunity for non-riders and existing young players aged 4-16 to learn and develop their polo and riding skills in a fun friendly environment on our very friendly school ponies. They group lessons are filled with lots of polo and fun and games, whilst also providing confidence through horsemanship.
School holiday polo camps run in half-terms and holidays. The days starts off with pony handling, tacking up, rules and tactics, handsticks, polo and games followed by multi-sports and team activities in the afternoons.
For the more advanced players we also offer private half day polo intensives and weekly high level chukkas on Saturday and Sunday afternoons.
Please note, for Junior Term-Time Polo Club cancellations, we require 7 hours’ notice. All non-cancelled lessons will be charged. If we are required to cancel lessons due to Covid-19 or weather restrictions we will credit your lesson for a later date. All of our coaches and instructors are HPA qualified and DBS checked.
